Vic: Nanny accused of rape faces court
MELBOURNE, April 7 AAP - A 32-year-old nanny accused of raping two 14-month-old childrenin her care faced Melbourne Magistrates Court briefly today.
The woman is charged with three counts of rape over allegations she abused the twotoddlers between August last year and April this year.
Police began investigating the allegations last week and the woman was charged yesterday.
The nanny, from Preston, cannot be named in the case as it leads to the identificationof her alleged victims.
A police spokesperson said the woman had worked as a nanny and babysitter in Victoriaand NSW for up to 10 years.
The woman made no application for bail and was remanded in custody until June 30.
