Wine and Beverage Tote-Cooler; `The Sleepover Cookbook'; Grey Poupon yellow mustard.

Byline: Renee Enna

HAVE WINE, WILL TRAVEL

We liked the features on California Innovations' attractive Wine and Beverage Tote-Cooler, with an insulated interior that holds a bottle of wine, two side pockets for wine glasses (plastic ones are included) and a front pocket that holds a corkscrew and combination pourer/wine stopper (both included). The tote has a handle as well as a shoulder strap and comes with its own reusable ice pack. It costs $29 by mail through the Wine Enthusiast, 800-356-8466.

SLEEPOVER SNACKS

We liked the upbeat approach in "The Sleepover Cookbook" (Sterling, $9.95), by Hallie Warshaw. The book is written for kids old enough to cook in the kitchen (though an adult should always be around to help and/or supervise). The recipes _ such as hot taco dip, biscuit-bite pizza and brownie sundaes _ will appeal to younger cooks and are clearly written and easy to execute. The book is available at bookstores, or online at amazon.com and barnesandnoble.com.

GOING DOWNSCALE

Grey Poupon, famous for its Dijon mustard, has taken on the ballpark crowd with a yellow variety. Most of us liked the tangy mustard, with a pleasant sharpness supplied by mustard seed, turmeric and paprika. But one taster strongly objected to another of its ingredients: high-fructose corn syrup. Sugar, he maintains, does not belong in yellow mustard. Since it's a ballpark _ you make the call. A 10-ounce jar costs around $3.
