NSW: Speeding learner stripped of licence
SYDNEY, Aug 18 AAP - Police have charged a learner driver they say reached speeds of
almost 200 km/h on the Hume Highway in southern NSW.
The 21-year-old Victorian man was clocked driving a Honda sedan at 194 km/h near Bookham
at about 9pm (AEST) yesterday, police said.
The speed limit on that part of the highway is 110 km/h.
The man was charged with speeding, dangerous driving and failing to display L-plates.
His licence was suspended, and he is due to appear at Yass Local Court on October 2.
